A big thank you to everyone that came to Brussels and joined us for our annual conference on September 12th.
All our projects shared their research progress and engaged in panel discussions together with different companies from industry. BEPA, Batteries Europe and EBA 250 discussed “The future of BATTERY 2030+ in the European Eco-system” and Philippe Jacques was our moderator, who did a fantastic job with keeping the audience on their toes.
We had an excellent presentation of the “BATTERY 2030+ Young Student Manifesto” from Maria Arnaiz and Leiting Zhang who participated in the “Young Scientist Event” where composing this manifesto was one of the goals. Our guest speaker Professor Martin Winter educated us on “The strength of electrochemistry in understanding batteries”. This section was a real crowd pleaser. Our program officer Aymard de Touzalin from the European commission summed up our annual conference. Overall a success full day and we were happy to meet each other in person again.
We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to V.U.B. (Vrije Universiteit Brussel), Maitane Berecibar and Annick Hubin for hosting us at their fantastic University.
