Title: The Ageing of Li-ion Batteries for Energy Storage: Degradation Mechanisms, Accelerating Tests and Lifetime Prediction

Bio: Dr. Yong Yang, Distinguished Professor in Chemistry in the State Key Lab for Physical Chemistry of Solid Surface at Xiamen University since 1997. He now serves as Member of Editorial Committee of J Power Sources and J Power Sources Advances, Board Member of International Meeting of Lithium Battery (IMLB) etc. His main research interests are Battery degradation and lifetime predication, new electrode/electrolyte materials for Li/Na-ion batteries, in-situ NMR/MRI/NI techniques in electrochemical energy storage and conversion system. He published 500+ papers in referred journals with citations > 36000 times(H=102, Google Scholar) and as leading editor of two books entitled “Solid State Electrochemistry” (Chinese, 2017) & “NMR/MRI of Electrochemical Energy Storage Materials & Devices” (English, 2021), He obtained several awards such as ECS Fellow(2024), Technology award from Battery Division, ECS (2020), Distinguished Contribution Award from Chinese Electrochemical Society (2017) and Technology Award from International Battery Materials Association (2014). He has mentored more than 140 postdocs, PhD and Master Students.
