Launch of BATTERY 2030+
2019-03-01
The BATTERY 2030+ initiative was launched on the 1st of March 2019. The first stage of the initiative is a 15-month Coordination and Support Action (CSA) supported by the EU Research and Innovation program Horizon 2020.
The BATTERY 2030+ initiative brings research institutions, industry and public funders together to develop next generation of ultra-performing, sustainable and safe batteries.
Better batteries have the potential to reduce the transport sector’s carbon footprint, help power grids run more efficiently, and much more. The European commission’s large-scale and long-term research initiative BATTERY 2030+ will gather leading researchers in Europe to achieve major advances in battery science and technology.
